We would like to welcome you to the Sanctuary of Abilene. We are a multi-cultural Apostolic church and we have members that have come from many different walks of life. No matter where the circumstances of your life have you right now we would love to have you join us for our services. We are a loving, caring and friendly Pentecostal church family that looks past your life situations and loves you for who you are. Our pastor likes to say that we don't believe in visitors...when you come you are just part of our family. Whether you are here for one service or become a consistent member of our church, be assured that you will be met with a friendly smile and warm compassion...and the love of Jesus!
We are close to both Abilene Christian University, and Hardin-Simmons University and not too far from Dyess Air Force Base. We love our college students and honor our Airmen who are here to serve our Country. We also welcome our police and paramedics and thank you for serving our community and county.

The Sanctuary of Abilene is located on the North side of Abilene, close to Ambler Bingo. We feel that we are right where we are supposed to be...where we are needed the most! In a desolate world, our church stands as a light in the darkness. A safe haven for your soul to find rest...a lighthouse for those who have lost their way.
A Word from our Pastor...WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE BELIEVEThank you for visiting our website. Out of all the churches in Abilene Texas, there's none quite like the Sanctuary of Abilene. We are an old time Apostolic Church. Apostolic churches are also known to some as Pentecostal Churches. We are a Spirit filled church that believes there is only one God and believe in the operation of the Spirit in our services. We believe in the power of the Holy Ghost and we baptize in Jesus name. We are a holiness church, and we believe in and practice holiness, both inward and outward. We know that God despises legalism, and we understand that holiness is not just an outward appearance, but an inward change...a change that leads a person to draw closer to God. The closer one gets to God, the more one wants God. The more one wants Him, the less of the world we want. There is nothing like standing in the presence of the Almighty, His Spirit flowing through you as waves of His glory envelop your soul. Please come visit us. We are a family church, and would love to have you come be a part of our family. We don't have visitors, but we consider anyone who walks through our doors a part of our family. Come check us out and feel the difference.

When you arrive

Upon arrival, you will be met by one of our friendly hosts or hostesses. If this is your first time to visit The Sanctuary you will be asked to fill out a visitor card. This is to keep a record of your attendance and to have a way to inform you of any upcoming events that you may be interested in attending. Also, on your way out, please stop back by the welcome center for your free gift (sorry, limited to one per family).

As our guest you are welcome to park anywhere on the gravel parking lot that you would like. We are a loving church that treats people as if they are family.

HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE PARKING
If you are in need of handicap parking, we have designated handicap accessible spots on the concrete pad in front of the church. We care about those less able-bodied than others and will accommodate you with any assistance you may need.

WE LOVE PEOPLE
A church is really a place for people to heal from the the blows that have been dealt them from a cruel world that mostly doesn't care about them. The Sanctuary is just such a church. Jesus Himself said in
John 13:35 King James Version (KJV) 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. Come to the Sanctuary of Abilene to experience not only the love of God, but also to have a Brother or Sister show you their love for you. |
